Privacy Policy

SeeShop is operated by Uhadi Technology, a software studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect when you use the SeeShop mobile app or this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We comply with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account, including via Google or Apple sign-in.
• Profile and content — your profile details and anything you choose to publish: livestreams, videos, product listings, comments, likes, and who you follow.
• Orders and delivery — the items you buy, your delivery address, and contact details needed to get your order to you.
• Contacts — only if you use the invite-friends feature and grant permission; used solely to help you find and invite people you know.
• Location — only if you grant permission; used to show nearby sellers and delivery options.
• Device and usage data — basic technical information (device type, app version, crash reports) used to keep the app working well.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayFast, a South African payment provider. Your card details are entered on PayFast's secure pages — SeeShop never sees or stores your card number.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run SeeShop, and only what each one needs to do its job:

• PayFast — payment processing.
• The Courier Guy — your delivery address and contact details, to deliver your orders.
• Supabase — secure hosting of account and app data.
• Agora — live video streaming infrastructure.
• Google (Firebase) — push notifications.
• Resend — transactional emails such as order confirmations.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Security

All connections to SeeShop are encrypted in transit, and database access is restricted with row-level security so your private data is readable only by you. No system is perfectly secure, but we design with security first and fix issues promptly when found.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can delete your account and its data directly in the app (Profile → account settings), or email us and we'll do it for you. We respond to all requests ourselves — there's no support queue.

Children

SeeShop involves buying and selling and is intended for users aged 18 and over.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
